A lot of job seekers experience stress and anxiety with the prospect of facing an interview. However, if you know what Interviewers are expecting to hear from you it will help you prepare better and go into the job interview more relaxed.
So here are top 5 things Interviewers expect to hear from you:
1.That you have researched the company and industry
When you have researched the company and the industry well and share some insights and knowledge about it during the interview process, it conveys to the interviewer that you have done your homework, are prepared and are genuinely interested
2.That you have thoroughly read the job description
Again, it conveys to the interviewer that you do the necessary groundwork before approaching any work. Using the information in the job description and conveying elements in your knowledge and experience is helpful for interviewers to make decisions in your favour.
3.Your skills, knowledge and strengths, values and desires
Whether you are a fresher or an experienced candidate, it becomes important to seize moments during the interview where you can convey all that you have learnt and applied, your peak experiences and your unique talents (eg. Your ability to set people at ease or it could be your ability to pick up new technologies easily). An interviewer also wants to know what some of the things are that are important to you and where you see yourself couple of years down the line. The interviewer is assessing how you can add value to the role and the company.
4.That you are genuinely interested in the role
Often enough, interviewers meet candidates who are giving interviews simply because they want to understand possible opportunities or as an additional safeguard. Demonstrating your genuine interest in the company and the role goes a long way in tilting the interviewer towards you.
5.Your curiosity about the company’s plans
When you seek inputs about the company and its plans, it conveys to the interviewer that you are seriously interested. It also communicates that you have the ability to look beyond the immediate objective of just getting a job.
It is said that fortune favours those who are well prepared. So prepare yourself thoroughly and ace that interview!
